Myrtle Beach Golfaway

Barefoot Resort

The Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach features four legendary courses that are all used for PGA tournaments, designed by some of golf’s best architects: David Love, Greg Norman,  Pete Dye and Tom Fazio. Pure white sands combined with plenty of pitfalls make these coastal masterpieces a must for golfers who appreciate fine quality courses. The fairways have generous landing areas, hybrid grass developed by Greg Norman, and beautiful undulating greens. Each of the four courses has four sets of tees allowing golfers of all abilities to enjoy an unforgettable round of golf.

The Davis Love course is a traditional, par 72, 18 hole layout that has a distinctive low country appeal. GN-1 fairways (a hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf), Tif-Sport Bermuda grass, A-1 Bent grass greens. This course is ranked #1 among the “Top 50 courses in Myrtle Beach” by Golf Digest.

The Greg Norman course is beautiful and runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway. Norman sought the feel of a Southwestern desert course with open greens and fairways that run up to the sand. Furthermore, his masterful design incorporates original landscaping and natural coastal beauty, with trees and wetlands framing each hole. GN-1 fairways (a hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf), Tif-Sport Bermuda grass, A-1 Bent grass greens.

The Pete Dye 7343 yard par 72 golf course is the only semi-private facility at Barefoot Resort. This unforgettable course  winds its way through the pure white sands of a Carolina Bay. GN-1 fairways (a hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf), Tif-dwarf Bermuda grass, L-93 Bent grass greens. Ranked in the “Top Ten” on the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand by Golf Digest.

The Fazio course is a classic low country Carolina masterpiece, with oaks, pines, and lakes found throughout the layout. It’s a challenging course, yet very playable. Like many golf courses in Europe, the Tom Fazio course does not return to the clubhouse after nine holes, a claim to fame of North Myrtle Beach golf. The golf course is always meticulously manicured and favors the amateur player. GN-1 Bermuda grass, Tif-sport Bermuda grass and A-1 Bent grass.
