Ocean Ridge Plantation
Lions Paw is considered Willard Byrd’s finest design. It is the “oldest” of the cats and features two distinct styles: towering hardwoods and a fair amount of elevation change, and open, windy fairways.
Panther’s Run at Ocean Ridge is the second oldest of the “Big Cat” courses. Designed by Tim Cate, this course tests a golfer’s ability to hit around or over the natural marsh, all throughout the course. Tree and bunkers also define the fairways culminating at bent grass greens. Panther’s Run is still a favorite among Myrtle Beach golf courses.
Tiger’s Eye is a Tim Cate design that’s been rated in the Top 3 of the area courses by Golf Digest. The course is defined by dramatic elevation changes, natural waste areas, pine and oak trees, and water from marsh lands and waterfalls. Tiger’s Eye has some of the best bent greens in the Grand Strand.
Leopard’s Chase is the fourth and newest of the “Big Cat” golf courses at Ocean Ridge. Golfers will be challenged by short carries over water and wetlands, and plenty of strategically placed bunkers. Watch out for the 4th hole featuring a tough island green! Now a favorite in Myrtle Beach, Leopard’s Chase was named to Golf Digest’s list of “Top 10 Best New Public Courses in America” for 2007-2008 and was also ranked in Golf Magazine’s “Ten Best New Courses You Can Play”.
