From their humble beginnings on Broad Street in New Orleans to their current position as one of the world’s largest fine dining companies, Ruth’s Chris Steak House has come a long way in its first four decades. In 2005, they celebrated their fortieth anniversary, and consider it a celebration of the life of a woman who broke the mold – their founder, Ruth Fertel.

To get you started, we have selected a handful of items from their extensive menu, read on with caution, as this will definitely lead to some “grumbling of the tummy”. From their Appetizers to their main Entrées, the food is fresh, tasty and prepared just the way you like it.

For starters, we dare you to dig in to the Crabtini; Mouthfuls of colossal lump crab meat tossed in their house vinaigrette and served with their classic spicy Creole remoulade sauce and served in a chilled martini glass, simply delicious. Or you may want to try the Mushrooms Stuffed with Crabmeat; Broiled mushroom caps, packed with jumbo lump crab stuffing and then sprinkled with Romano cheese.

For the smaller appetite, try one of their salads, Sliced Tomato and Onion Salad; a sliced beefsteak tomato served on a medley of fresh crisp lettuces, topped with sliced red onions, drenched in vinaigrette dressing and sprinkled with bleu cheese crumbles, or perhaps Ruth’s Chop Salad; a Ruth’s Chris original, fresh Julienne iceberg lettuce, spinach and Radicchio tossed with sliced red onions, mushrooms, chopped green olives, smoky bacon, egg, hearts of palm, croutons, Bleu Cheese and lemon Basil dressing, served with cherry tomatoes and topped with crispy fried onions,…… wow!

Ruth’s Chris Steaks in Myrtle Beach are simply divine and what they are so famous for, steaks are carefully selected and aged for tenderness and then cut thick to ensure juiciness. Seared to perfection at eighteen hundred degrees, this steak is served with a dollop of fresh butter and sizzles seductively, as it announces it’s arrival, you’ll be talking about this steak for days to come. Their Filet is the most tender and juiciest cut of corn-fed Midwestern beef that you will encounter on the Grand Strand, while the Porterhouse for Two, will satisfy any appetite; this USDA Prime cut combines the deep rich flavor of a strip with the tenderness of a filet, so good you will be back for more!

Their entrées are just as exceptional and there is a fine selection to choose from, we recommend something different, the Lamb Chops; Three tender and flavorful succulent lamb chops cut extra thick for juiciness and served with fresh mint, or how about the Ahi-Tuna Stack; Seared to perfection, this rare tuna is topped with Colossal lump crabmeat and served sizzling with red pepper pesto, an overwhelming favorite among locals and visitors to Myrtle Beach.

End your meal with one of Ruth’s Chris signature deserts, Caramelized Banana Cream Pie; Creamy white chocolate banana custard in their freshly baked flaky crust and topped with caramelized bananas, or their own distinct version of a traditional New Orleans favorite, a delightful Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce.

Their wine list is second to none, their cellars include wines from all over the world, and whether you prefer a light white wine or a full oaky red wine, there is bound to be a selection that you will enjoy alongside your meal.
